Asia Argento, born in Rome to a household that comprises directors and actors was a professional in both fields. At the age of nine, Asia Argento was first seen in her debut film Sergio Cittis's Sogni e bisogni. She played the leading role in the film of Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) and appeared as part of Michele Soavi's 1989 film The Church. It was her first time moving from young girl roles to complex and mature roles. The film was a hit at the Cannes International Film Festival. The actress has produced three films with her father, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera will be her third film with her Father, her first two movies being Trauma & The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's dedication and passion for acting has also been used in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a nozze. Also, she was a part of the role in the international cast of Queen Margot produced by Patrice Chereau. The collaboration she had with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another David di Donatello award as well as Grolla of Oro. Asia started directing short films in the year 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive in 1996. She directed a document about her father and then Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was recognized by the Rome Film Festival. Asia's feature-length debut came in the form of Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she acted as the lead actress and also wrote the screenplay. The film released May 2000 in Italy as well as throughout the rest the world. The film was released on Brooklyn, New York it won a award at the Williamsburg film festival. Anna Lou was her first born child in the year 2001. After the directing of several music videos, she got Anna Lou. The year 2002 saw Asia appear as Jean-Marc Bar's co-star The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) and Vin Diesel was the star of Rob Cohen's thriller action The Action. Asia can also be the author of numerous short stories published in many prestigious magazines
