The collaboration she had with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another David di Donatello award as well as Grolla of Oro. Asia started directing short films in the year 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive in 1996. She directed a document about her father and then Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was recognized by the Rome Film Festival. Asia's feature-length debut came in the form of Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she acted as the lead actress and also wrote the screenplay. The film released May 2000 in Italy as well as throughout the rest the world. After the directing of several music videos, she got Anna Lou.
